Retired Fort Worth Police Officer Michael Barber Announces Campaign for Tarrant County Commissioner Precinct 1
A public safety leader with a strong conservative record comes into the race with significant momentum.
Today, retired Fort Worth Police Officer and local small business owner, Michael Barber, launched his campaign for the open Tarrant County Commissioners Precinct 1 seat with the backing of current Tarrant County Judge Tim O’Hare, and State Representatives David Cook and Brian Harrison, and former State Representative and Candidate for Tarrant County Commissioner Precinct 3 Matt Krause.
Michael Barber, a 31-year veteran with the Fort Worth Police Department, comes into the race having been born and raised in Precinct 1. As a lifetime resident of Precinct 1, Michael has been very active in his community including serving as a Deacon at Wedgwood Baptist Church, as President of the Texas Police Association, as President of the Fort Worth Police Historical Association, and as an Election Judge and Precinct Chair for the Tarrant County Republican Party.
